Role Overview: The AWS (Application & Workflow Specialist) understands customer workflows and needs, helps articulate our value propositions, and provides product demonstrations, training, and application support for our Advanced portfolio, especially in target segments' applications.
This position reports to the Sales Director for Southern Europe, is part of the Southern Europe Sales Team, and will be working remotely to cover Italy, supporting Widefield and Life Science.
Key Responsibilities: Train and guide the sales force in demonstrating and delivering value propositions through demonstrations, application, and product knowledge to maximize sales; support quotations and tenders as needed.Provide feedback on market trends, new applications, technologies, and customer needs; support development of application notes and act on feedback.Drive funnel growth by implementing field strategies; contribute to sales tactics during specific projects.Participate in Key Accounts teams to maximize customer satisfaction and sales potential in cooperation with Account Managers and PSS.Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams.Essential Requirements: Minimum 4 years' experience in microscopy, particularly confocal and advanced camera-based fluorescence microscopy, and optical microscopy techniques.Experience in workflows such as single-cell and organoid imaging, tissue analysis, multiplex imaging, and data analysis, especially in translational research, biotech, pharma, or CROs.Experience with advanced microscopy experiments (TIRF, Ablation, Photoactivation, FRAP, live cell imaging, Lightsheet, 3D reconstruction) and microfluidic applications is a plus.Proficiency with image analysis tools and large data sets, extracting insights through visualization.Sales experience, especially in customer support roles, and ability to train others on imaging techniques.Travel & Other Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 60%, overnight, within Italy or EMEA.Valid driver's license with a good driving record.Leica Microsystems offers comprehensive benefits, including healthcare and paid time off.
