For our client, an important company operating in the Chemicals sector, we are looking for a AREA MANAGER EMEA – Fine Chemicals.
The Area Manager will be responsible for enlarging the customer
base and strengthening relationships with key active customers in the assigned
EMEA areas in order to achieve budget results in terms of revenue and margin.
Reporting
to the Global Sales and Marketing Director, this role will manage existing
customers while driving growth in sales of fine chemicals and specialty
chemicals, with a focus on clients in the Food & Beverage industry and
Pharma industry.
He/She will
identify new applications and new end markets for the company's products,
elaborate and propose the annual sales budget to headquarters, and participate
in the main fairs and exhibitions to promote business in the selected area.
The
position will also ensure compliance with company reporting requirements,
including CRM and forecasting, and will operate in a fast-changing,
intercultural environment where sales performance is managed in terms of
revenue, margin, and related accounting and business development objectives.
Responsibilities
Achieve growth and hit sales
targets by increasing the customer base while managing existing customers
in the assigned EMEA areas
Enlarge the customer base in
the Food & Beverage and Pharma end markets for fine chemicals and
specialty chemicals products
Seek new applications and new
end markets for the company's fine chemicals products
Strengthen relationships with
key active customers to attain company targets in terms of revenue and
margin
Participate in the main fairs
and exhibitions to promote business in the selected area
Elaborate and propose to
headquarters the annual sales budget, including revenue and margin
objectives
Comply with company reporting
requirements (CRM, forecasting, and related sales reporting)
Your Profile
Extensive work experience in
Sales Management roles
Extensive work experience in
sales and business development of specialty chemicals, preferably in the
following industrial sectors: Food & Beverage and Pharma
Demonstrated experience working
with clients in the Food & Beverage industry and Pharma industry
Strong Business Development
attitude and experience
Extensive experience managing
revenue and margin in line with accounting and business development
objectives
Strong decision-making attitude
Flexibility to adapt to a
fast-changing environment
Strong intercultural
communication skills (ability to interact effectively with people from
different cultural backgrounds)
Ambitious in attaining company targets
Loyal identification with the
company values (quality / work ethics / integrity)
Fluent English language, both
oral and written
A second European language is a
plus
Availability to travel as
required (up to 50% of the time)
