Pillar two of the new strategy is dedicated to generating Income for the organization through individual giving, corporates and foundations. Partnership Management Consultants will be responsible for driving the global fundraising strategy (financial contributions only, not technical), with corporations specifically. Consultant positions are defined for PPF’s new Corporate Fundraising, Corporate Technical and Foundations teams, reporting to Heads of Team under the Chief of Corporate & Foundations, PPF. Consultants in the Partnership Management team will execute the corporate fundraising strategy by overseeing a portfolio of existing global corporate and corporate foundation relationships and delivering excellence in relationship management demonstrated through partner satisfaction, high retention and revenue growth.
Manage & grow partnerships: Cultivate key relationships, identify and deliver partner needs, expectations & priorities and orchestrate all internal and external activities tied to meeting partner requirements, including:
Collaborate with Business Development team to transition new accounts on to solid account management plan to build a strong, long-lasting client relationship Deliver on partner expectations/needs for high partnership satisfaction and look for cost-effective opportunities to exceed expectations and drive solutions to meet business objectives Develop and execute partnership growth strategy for existing, largest corporate partners with potential Oversee partnership renewal and identify opportunities for partner expansion such as potential technical partnership opportunities or employee engagement strategies which may go beyond fundraising relationship.
Lead stewardship strategy: Develop and consistently deliver stewardship strategy; serve as day-to-day point-of-contact and convener, including organizing meetings between senior WFP & corporate leadership for highest value partnerships. Communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the partner organization, including executive and C-level.
Drive reporting & content creation: Collaborate with Global Services team to create communication strategy/materials for external public-facing media opportunities/events & internal reports and other assets which convey partnership value and impact.
Support knowledge management: Synthesize and share lessons learnt and best practices with Global Services team.
Liaise with the PPF Global Services team on due diligence process and contracting.
At least six years’ demonstrated experience in partnership management, marketing and communications, sales or agency account management or brand management roles.
Track record of stewarding complex high-value corporate fundraising partnerships, delivering sustained revenue growth (upselling) and successfully securing partnership renewals, experience with a UN or Global INGO desirable or similar role within a global company or advertising agency.
Significant experience in the development and execution of high impact Cause-Related Marketing (CRM) campaigns with consumer-facing brands. Employee engagement experience also an added value.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate relationships and influence senior decision makers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior ability in explaining complex issues to external partners, presenting the organization and diverse operations in a compelling manner, including when to leverage the experience of internal stakeholders in a sales pitch; understanding of how to align the needs and interests of the organization with those of a corporate partner.
The ideal candidate will also be highly adaptable to change and comfortable dealing with ambiguity, stress and competing demands with grace and humor.
Excellent command of spoken and written English (fluency/level C knowledge). Intermediate knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.
University degree in Political Science, International Development, Development Economics, Marketing Communications or another relevant field. Advanced University degree a plus.
