We are looking for an experienced person to join our Global Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs (GSR) team in Biandronno (Varese) or Fabriano (Ancona).
GSR is an independent function within the Global Product Organization to achieve Global Product Leadership. You must ensure development and manufacture of products that are safe and compliant to markets around the world and deliver competitive advantage through standard, committees and manufacturer associations.
Your task in this role will include
-Participate in National, European and International committees
-Represent Whirlpool in Italian Association for assigned product categories
-Support Product Platforms in activities related to standardization and compliance
-Responsible for Energy standards for one or more categories in EMEA
-Collaborate with Platforms/Marketing/Legal/Government Affairs to define the Whirlpool strategy to have during external meetings
-To be Whirlpool voice in Associations like APPLiA and in IT National committee
-Build understanding of products functionalities and approval testing methodologies
-Reference for communication with external certification bodies for GMA (Global Market Access)
-Support Cornerstone tools and regulatory roadmap update
-Conduct regulatory meetings with Platforms and Marketing to update about standards change
-Support Conformity assessment for EMEA region
Background and experiences
-Master's Degree in Engineering.
-Relevant previous experience in a Product Safety, Regulatory Affairs and/or Product Development role, preferably in Home Appliances, Consumer Electronics, Automotive or verification/certification multinational companies.
-Excellent communication skills, ability to influence others, high level of confidentiality.
-Fluent in both English and Italian.
