Unique and with a global view, this is a chance to revolutionize the clinical research industry.ML Manager, NLP Focus – the roleAs an ML Manager (Technical Lead) in the ACOE, you will leverage your creativity and machine learning expertise to help identify areas to apply advanced NLP solutions in different parts of the organization. Working closely with business stakeholders and internal product offerings staff, you will be involved in designing and delivering analytics solutions. You will also be responsible for developing clear, concise communication strategies for explaining relevant machine learning and data science concepts to business stakeholders.Working with a diverse global team of data scientists and software developers using modern data science languages and tools, you will build prototypes and production quality software components that drive business value. For your project’s specific business problem, you will leverage your deep expertise in machine learning to devise and implement suitable methodologies. You will demonstrate commitment to strong engineering by writing high-quality code and participating in the peer review process. You will be accountable for all aspects of your work, from data analysis and research, to KPI definition, testing and deployment.Continued involvement in the machine learning community is highly encouraged. You will have opportunities to stay up to date with and participate in the development of the state-of-the-art methods in NLP by attending conferences and publishing papers. You will also serve as a mentor and guide for ACOE team members involved in advanced analytics activities and tasks.Our ideal candidate will have;PhD or Masters degree in STEM related field (PhD preferred but not required)Role typically requires 5-7 years of similar experience including demonstrated expertise in NLP domainMust have demonstrated experience of leading teams or projects within ML spaceExtensive experience in programming languages (Python preferred)Strong theoretical and hands-on experience with statistics and machine learning related techniques, tools, and methodsThe ability to read, understand, and explain to others, scientific papers on state-of-the-art machine learning and computer science, as well as the ability to prototype, evaluate and improve the ideas describedExcellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences.Bonus points for;Familiar with client-server architecture and microservice architectureExperience productionizing and maintaining ML-based automated solutions.Good knowledge of design patterns and software engineering best practicesHealthcare domain experienceExperience with big data tools such as Spark, HDFS, HiveExperience with Deep Learning framework like TensorflowPlease note, this role can be based in any of the ACOE EU hubs; Warsaw, Madrid, Milan, Frankfurt or London.Join UsMaking a positive impact on human health takes insight, curiosity, and intellectual courage.
