The Richmond Sector is looking for a Technical .net Architect to be part of a large team in a dynamic and changing environment. Projects include software solution development and support for a state government client supporting applications in the procurement space. This person has extensive experience in developing enterprise level web based solutions for highly data intensive transactional business processes. Expertise includes knowledge of evolving frameworks, Middle tier development and efficient data access strategies. Proven track record with proactive creative solutions and innovations is required. This is a senior level position based in Fairfax, VA or Richmond, VA. This person will be part of a dynamic architecture team and requires hands-on development and innovation, plus the ability to learn, evaluate, and implement new technology very quickly. Responsibilities include: ??? Evaluate emerging .NET technology options in the context of a broad business problem, implement prototypes using options, identify and perform trade-offs to recommend optimal solution. ??? Ability to lead the team to develop a practical, maintainable, enterprise ready solution and a road map to achieve it. ??? Infuse and foster innovation and creativity throughout the project team through brown bags sessions, presentations, mentoring, etc. ??? Conduct design and development of software to include prototypes, and modeling and simulation of system behaviors. ??? Direct and/or perform integration of COTS or open source frameworks. ??? Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems. ??? Maintain current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications ??? Participate in special projects Required Skills: ??? Proven expertise and in depth understanding of .NET architectural design patterns such as MVC, MVP, MVVM and core frameworks such as WCF and WWF. ??? Thorough understanding and pragmatic application of Object oriented and enterprise level design patterns to achieve scalable, extensible and loosely coupled secure applications. ??? Real world experience and expertise in Web 2.0 technologies and architectural styles such as Web API???s, REST, AJAX to develop Rich Internet Applications. ??? Working knowledge of evolving client frameworks such as Backbone, Ember, etc. a huge plus. ??? Passion for achieving strategic use of technology in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. ??? Experience architecting cloud based business solutions a plus. ??? Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities.- A 4-year degree in a relevant field (i.e.: Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology).
