The Group Investment Asset and Wealth Management Division of the Generali Group has launched the Transformation Program (hereafter “the Program”) aimed at replacing SOFIA, the incumbent Asset Management platform with SimCorp Dimension.
The Program objectives are the following:Implement a market leading and fully integrated Investment Management platform that provides a high degree of functionality in line with the requirements of a global insurance asset management Group, rationalizing existing asset management architecture;
Standardize the target operating model across the investment value chain
In this perspective, the Division has established the Global Investment Platform Unit to manage the new cross-country platform, assuring its consistency, a proper relationship with the provider and ownership cost control.
The Unit is in charge to provide:Project management
Functional and technical application management support
To end users granting platform evolution/development and maintenance in a consistent way across all stakeholders (“Single Platform” across the Group))
The Unit is meant to be a cross-Country, cross-BUs and cross functional team, also in charge to assure that local needs are considered and taken care of, without disrupting the consistency of the core platform foundation that must stay the same in the logic of a “single platform at Group level”.
The successful candidate will work on the following activities:
Manage and oversee all technical-related topics the Unit is in charge of: SimCorp platform monitoring and performance management; system integration and automation; data modeling and reporting
Steer, coordinate and take full ownership of the business analysis, solution design and implementation of all new technical solutions required by end users within SimCorp: interfaces, reports, data extractions, batch jobs group, data integration between SimCorp Dimension Core and SimCorp Dimension DWH, etc.
Provide business analysis, solution design and implementation support to Analytics and Reporting Team and all other relevant users with specific regards to data modelling, data integration and data quality topics within SimCorp Dimension Core and SimCorp DWH
Manage the relationship between the Global Investment Platform Unit and Generali’s captive provider of IT infrastructure services taking care of all relevant cross topics in place with this latter
Steer and coordinate the strategic development of SimCorp Platform within Generali Investment from a technological standpoint: digitalization, hosting, robotics, etc.
Steer and coordinate the SimCorp configurators and developers he will be responsible for
Coordinate with the other business analysts and Configurators of the Unit (that follow other business areas such as Risk Management, MOBO, Investment Accounting, Analytics and Reporting, etc.) so as to establish a unique and centralized design authority able to provide consistent end-to-end solution within the SimCorp evolution roadmap in Generali
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience within the professional areas of business analysis, requirements gathering, functional analysis/design in the Investment, asset & wealth management industry
Deep and extensive knowledge of IT system implementations, system integration, data processing and Data warehousing in financial industries
Advanced Technical Knowledge on database SQL or Oracle
Advanced Technical Knowledge on batch job, scripting and scheduling
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in the management of data and databases (especially SQL and Oracle)
Good knowledge of capital market and financial securities (fixed income, equity, funds, derivatives, money market instruments, etc.)
Fluency in Italian and English
Previous experiences on all the above with SimCorp Dimension as a crucial plus
Effective stakeholder management
Strong learning agility and trouble solving attitude
Strong organizational and business process reengineering skills
