Job Description
As a Product Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and customer needs. You will be responsible for design-in collaterals and for providing technical customer support on product level.
In your new role you will:
Provide Customer and Field Supportserving as theprimary expertfor global customers and Infineon's Field Application Engineers, providing specialized support for ourOPTIREG™ System Basis Chips (SBCs), PMICs, linear regulators, switchers, and transceivers
Analyze and supporttechnical customer issues, particularly inpower supply and functional safety, byleveraging detailed product knowledgeto facilitatedesign-in processes for our customers
Develop and maintain technical documentssuch as datasheets, application notes, and articles to aid customer understanding and product usage
Create and refine technical materialsfor Go-to-Market activities,including evaluation boards,reference designs, and design-in support tools
Conduct comprehensivefeasibility, benchmarking, and development studiesfor various automotive applications, focusing on ECU power supply
Lead technical training sessions and workshopsfor Field Application Engineers and customers globally, sharing your expertise and insights
Work closely with colleagues,product definition engineers, product managers,R&D teams,validation and verification teams,production test engineers,and functional safety engineersto foster knowledge sharing and collaboration
Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
Adegree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physicsor a similar field of studies
At least 5 yearsof experiencein a technical role such asTechnical Marketing, Application Engineer, or Design Engineerwithin the automotive or semiconductor industry
Strong knowledge oflinear and switched power supplies, including state machines and watchdogs,schematic and PCB layout skills,lab experience, andcircuitry design knowledge
Understanding offunctional safety standards (ISO 26262)andmicrocontrollersis highly advantageous as well as a sound foundation forBody/ZONE applications
Proven experience inengaging with customers and functioning as a bridge between internal R&D and external partners
Demonstratedcapability to drive complex technical problemsto resolutionby advising teams and synthesizing their contributions
Fluency in English(mandatory) - German would be a plus
