THE ROLE New Guards Group is seeking a dedicated Accountant, Retail to join its Administrative Department, who will report directly to the Accounting Manager, Retail. WHAT YOU'LL DOAssist in performing routine accounting tasks and related activities for the company's retail stores;Maintain precise records of financial transactions in the general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable;Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reports for accounts receivable and accounts payable, including preparing weekly payment schedules;Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of sales, cash receipts, bank statements, and credit card transactions in the general ledger;Assist in the month-end accounting closure process by reviewing accruals, prepayments, and depreciation entries;Review intercompany transactions, investigating and resolving any discrepancies that arise;Assist in the review of financial statements;Engage in daily communication with internal and external business partners.WHO YOU AREBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;At least 2 years of previous experience as an accountant, better if in retail/fashion industry;English proficiency;Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software;Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.REWARDS & BENEFITSGreat compensation package (in consideration of your professional experience)Lunch ticketsDiscounts on all NGG brands and partners including FARFETCH and BrownsBe part of a young, dynamic and creative company with over 40 different nationalitiesBrand new headquarters located in the centre of MilanEQUAL OPPORTUNITIES STATEMENTNew Guards Group is an equal opportunities employer ensuring that all applicants are treated equally and fairly throughout our recruitment process.
