Sr Accounting REMOTE Position!
Contract- 4- 12 week assignment (Strictly Temp Assignment)
Position pays $45-55/HR Job Description:
The Senior Accounting Analyst, Marketing will support the timely and accurate month-end GL accounting and reporting for the US brands for marketing accruals.
The person in this role should be experienced working with large data sets and distilling it into meaningful analysis, identifying and resolving issues and employing data analysis to ensure partners and leaders have the most up-to-date and reliable information.
Keys to success include working egolessly (team-oriented), proactively asking questions to better learn and prioritize your tasks, having a process-improvement mindset, and always having your customers in mind.

Job Responsibilities include: Perform the month-end close duties for all aspects of accrual accounting for marketing spend for US brands, including preparing and posting journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, performing month-over-month flux analysis, and performing key-controls
Perform checks to ensure the matching of marketing invoices to accruals and proper coding
Follow up on matching and coding discrepancies to resolution
Partner with the accounting, shared services and marketing teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of month end accruals
Perform detailed validation of aged accrual balances against vendor statements in accordance with policy
Review P&L and balance sheet accounts and provide manager with insights into onth-over-month trends
Drive the reconciliation of data discrepancies by deep-diving into lowest level and creating reports to highlight discrepancies to appropriate owners
Support internal and external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility
Update process documentation on an ongoing basis as needed
Qualifications: BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years GL accounting experience, audit experience a plus
Advanced spreadsheet (Excel and/or Google Sheets) and data manipulation skills
Oracle, Tableau and SQL experience a plus
Detail oriented and expert at following through

Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
