Ca' Foscari is looking for an assistant professor of mathematical methods of economics, finance and actuarial sciences c apable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world. The Assistant Professor will teach Mathematical methods of economics, finance and actuarial sciences in BA, MA and PhD programs, in Italian and English. The Assistant Professor may be involved in administrative and organizational tasks in the Department. The research activity will be focused on central themes of the academic recruitment field, including mathematical models and methods for economics, finance and actuarial sciences, quantitative finance, decision theory, risk and uncertainty management, agent-based and computational methods (also for data analysis). The position will be in the Department of Economics , a centre that carries out innovative research in fields such as economics, finance, statistics and mathematics, covering all the legal, social, international, and environmental aspects of these disciplines. The Department has recently received a "Department of Excellence" Award by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research. The Excellence Award has allowed the department to receive additional state funding to develop innovative projects on Economic and Risk Analytics for public policies. The Department offers Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes taught entirely in English.
