You will support management of assigned spend with a short term and medium-term sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership, quality, and reliability of supplies. You will collaborate with factory and HUB stakeholders to support the undertakings, project implementation. Your responsibilities Support the Factory SCM on assigned tasks. Collaborate with suppliers and category managers to optimize cost, submit requests for quotation and drive cost savings projects. Identify new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team. Qualify new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists. Adapt corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommend frame agreements to management and execute upon approval. Negotiate agreements with suppliers, and periodically renew pricelists, terms and conditions. Analyze and evaluate bids/pricelists to determine optimal value. Support supplier negotiations as needed to achieve cost savings targets. Design and implement plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets. Support regional and global sourcing initiatives as required . Apply and implement SCM standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability. Create and update reports, as required , following the Hitachi Energy standards. Work closely with the project, bid, and proposal teams with the project's needs and cost-effective purchase of goods and services. Oversee supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolve performance issues. Your background A Bachelor's degree in Economics , Engineering or similar field; Experience in Sourcing (strategic purchases, supplier development, negotiation with suppliers) is a plus; Experience within electrical equipment manufacturing for energy sector is a plus; Good level of English and Italian (spoken and written); Strong negotiation skills; Result oriented with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines; G ood knowledge of MS Office and SAP (or equivalent ERP ); Good time management and task prioritization; A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills; A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire o f learning about new technologies; Proactive on assigned tasks About UsHitachi brings together the world's greatest minds to help breathe life into new possibilities – and drive innovation for a better future.
