The Buyeris involved inall buying processes across all categories, tailoring the buy for our various markets and seeking opportunities to maximise retail sales.The position in based in Milan office.Key ResponsibilitiesRetail BuyPartners withDOS and Outletstores to ensure the businesses have efficient buys and stock levels in place to maximise sales potentialDevelops the Buying strategy, ensuring that commercial trends are followed using product selection and a clear brand image is translated through the selected rangeDevelop a strong product portfolio tomaintaina competitive edge and satisfy market demandsCollaborates inthe retail buy for all seasons across all categoriesand licensesfor theEuropeanmarketIdentifiesopportunities to maximise salesResponsible for the open-to-buy budgetForecasts and builds plans to project sales potentials, respecting communicated deadlinesMonitors delivery of stock shipments to ensure product arrives to maximise sales potentialfor both DOS and OutletDelivers seasonal buying reportingProduct InformationParticipates in store product training for store teamsCreates product knowledge information packsConducts continual buying feedback with managers and sales teamsCollaborates with Merchandising on product concerns and opportunities, such as sizing or colour palettes, variations to range??Re-ordering, Analysis & ReportingAnalyse and report on product and collection results based on store sales and local trendsMonitors sales results and makes sound recommendations based on analyticsfor both DOS and OutletImplement and run reporting and analysis procedures to closelymonitordaily,weeklyand monthly salesfor the marketReviewing sales on a continual basis and driving key business decisionsIdentifiesbest sellers, slow sellers, bestselling sizes and ensures effective stock replenishmentMonitors sales and stock levels, taking necessary actionfor both DOS and OutletPlaces purchases and re-orders strategically, aligning fashion trends to customer buying behaviourIdentifiesopportunities to reduce overall costs and for improvement within the supply chainCollaborates with VM, Marketing, PR,E-Commerceand Merchandising maximise sales potentialsMaintains up to date knowledge of competitors strategiesCommunicates mark down information andtime linesClient KnowledgeBuilds knowledge of the Stella McCartney client and understands client buying behaviour to select range suited to local clienteleIdentifiesopportunities to maximise sales by analysing client buying behaviours to ensure we areprovidinga desirable product selection?KeyRequirementsFrom 3 to 5 years of experience in the buying department (preferably in RTW and/or BAGS);Passionate about the fashion industry and completely fashion and trend aware;Strong analytical, planning and reporting skills, capable of monitoring business performance.
