Location Mission The Software Engineer is responsible for developing applications enabling geoscience and energy exploration workflows across multiple platforms, including Windows, Linux and cloud-based environments.
Responsibilities
Analyze, design, develop and maintain software products, and assist in their commercialization in agreement with project technical and timing objectivesEnsure that product code and artifacts are managed and safeguarded in a configuration management system in accordance with procedures and guidelinesHelp identify and organize requirements and produce user storiesApply usability procedures and principles as defined at the project or product-line level or through customer inputEvaluate alternative implementations and select the one that maximizes the value of the product and minimizes the risk and technical debtBuild prototypes, products and systems suitable for testingDesign testing procedures and coordinate with others to implement and automate testsDevelop and execute unit testsEnsure and monitor source code quality by using appropriate toolsProvide timely corrective actions on assigned defects and issuesProvide support to internal and external customers Qualifications Master's Degree in Computer Engineering (preferred) or Computer ScienceKnowledge of object-oriented programming, ideally C# programming language and .NET development environmentStrong analytical skillsGood motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuityFluency in EnglishExperience with machine learning algorithms and knowledge of Python language is a plusKnowledge of version control systems (GIT) and Azure DevOps is also a plus The Team The candidate will join a diverse team of Junior and Senior Software Engineers, spanning from 3 to 15+ years of experience.
