Posting Details (Default Section) Posting Number: 20243932S Position Title: Center Administrator, Center for Irish Studies Position Type: Staff Location: Villanova, PA Recruitment Type: Internal/External Applicants Work Schedule: full-time/12-months Avg Hours Week 35 hours Department: 166-Irish Studies Program Position Summary: The Center Administrator works closely with the Center Director to manage the operations of the Center for Irish Studies, providing support in the coordination and development of all Center programs and initiatives under the direction of the Center Director. Key responsibilities include: managing Center operations; fiscal reporting, and budget management; supervising the Center's student fellows and interns; event planning, community outreach, promotion and management; public relations and communications. Limited local travel and occasional attendance at evening events is anticipated.Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian order. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the operations of the Center, including budget, fiscal reporting, and payments; the Center office and files; mailing lists and other records. Work with the Irish Studies administrative assistant in event planning, payments, calendar, and newsletter. Coordinate visits by Irish Fulbrights, visiting Heimbold Chair, and other residencies. Assign tasks to Administrative Assistant staff. Supervise student fellows.Collaborate with the Director to plan, develop, promote and execute Center programs and events; plan and execute annual meetings with community groups. Work with Advancement to coordinate fund-raising efforts and publications. Assist the Director on the annual report.Develop and update communication materials associated with Center initiatives, including the Center website, newsletters, and social media; maintain communications with internal and external stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff and other centers at Villanova; donors; external partners, including the Irish Government (Consulate General of Ireland; Culture Ireland, Office of the Irish Ambassador; Fulbright IIE , NiCCONA), and local residents and community organizations including the Irish Diaspora Center and the Irish American Business Chamber and Network. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences or related discipline required .Minimum of 3 years experience in a relevant and applicable work environmentrequired. Equivalent of work experience or years of education will be considered.Knowledge of Ireland and Irish culture. Other requirements include strong program, event and budget management skills; experience with communications, marketing, and public relations, including website management and social media.Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and events, and to work with and gain the respect of multiplie constituences, including faculty, staff, alumni, students, professionals and the general public.Proficiency in all standard computer applications, including Microsoft office products, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel. General knowledge of office principles and procedures is required. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in related discipline desirable.Knowledge of Banner, Salesforce preferred.
