Chief Accountant (12 Months Contract)

For our new company we are looking for a strong professional who will be responsible for a 360 view of the financial activities of the country, starting with accounting and expanding to all fields of finance. The position reports to a Finance manager based in the Italy, with a dotted line to the country manager within the country. The geographic scope of the job covers Italy. Responsibilities:- General / Statutory Accounting Responsible for complete and accurate financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet) Provide monthly balance sheet reconciliations Support the annual conversion of US GAAP accounting to ensure local statutory compliance. V.A.T reporting and filing US GAAP and Statutory GAAP reconciliation Posts the statutory entries into the GL Annual Report preparation E&Y audit preparation CIT return preparation Implement and follow up on Finance Policies and Procedures Non Trade Accounts Payable: Verify and code the supplier invoices Monitor the payment process (payment takes place in the USA) Single Point of contact for communication with the Headquarter finance team (in Buffalo USA) to resolve any transactional issues or reconciliation gaps Miscellaneous: Support the country managers on ad-hoc financial requests Act as a business partner to the operations management team Requirements: Education: Degree in accounting (D.E.C.F level required) Experience and Knowledge: Minimum 6 years work experience in accounting Experience in VAT Experience in Annual report preparation Experience in audit Personal Attributes: Good communication skills including local and English language proficiency; Strong ability to work independently Willing and capable to take initiatives, positive attitude Additional Information Posting Date: 2024-04-22 FedEx Logistics provides freight forwarding, as well as import and export services that allow companies to reach markets throughout the world.
