Job description We have a current opportunity for a Civil Marine Engineer on a contract basis. On a 12 month plus residential basis we are looking for a Senior Civil Marine Engineer to supervise a contract company on behalf of a major operator.This is in Milan, Italy for approx. a year before transferring to Mozambique, during Construction activities at or near Engineering completion.The work in Italy is residential. The work in Mozambique is rotational.The client can get visas for non EU nationals.JD:Assure the Civil Marine discipline issuance, review, and approval of around 2,000 technical documents.Implement engineering specifications and provide quality assurance in the procurement of materials, equipment and services to ensure conformity with sound engineering practice and cost effectiveness.Ensure all Project HSE requirements are adhered to and implemented. Ensure HSE is emphasized throughout all Civil Marine design activities. Play an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed.Perform the review of Marine Structures detailed engineering works including slope protections, Jetty, Material Offloading Facility, Temporary Beach Landing and other marine facilities.Support with technical expertise for Dredging and for disposal relocation.Ensure Security and shore protection interfaces gets incorporated into the design and follow up during construction and provide support for all site structures including marine and topsides.Experience required:Degree in Civil Engineering discipline.Proficient in English language.Eight (8) or more years' experience in design and/or methods department of Marine Subcontractors Oil and Gas and large EPCI projects is a plusFor further information about this position please apply.Our role in supporting diversity and inclusionAs an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
