Sarasota National is a resort-style community that includes 2 Clubhouses, a 32,000 square foot Palm
Club, a 5,000 square foot Golf Club on 2,100 Acres with 1580+ members, and $1.5M in annual F&B Sales.
We are an Audubon cooperative sanctuary offering food and beverage, 18-hole golf, tennis, pickle ball,
bocce, resort pool, Tiki bar, fitness classes, massages, personal training, golf lessons, wine, and a notary.

SUMMARY: The ideal candidate will be a 5.0+ rated pickleball player with technique and the ability to
work with and advance all skill levels of pickleball while working to ensure growth and advancement
in the programming of pickleball, tennis, and bocce. Oversee the growth and development of all
pickleball, tennis, and bocce ball programs. Coordinates and assists in the programming, leagues,
ladders, clinics, lessons, camps, club championships, monthly events, and all aspects of each sport.
Provide private and group instructions in pickleball while ensuring outstanding member services are
provided in all racquets and recreation sports. Supervision of the court maintenance staff and tennis
professional staff. Determines appropriate selling cost of Racquets merchandise and procures
merchandise accordingly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes but is not limited to the following:
Supervises all tennis, bocce, and pickleball operations daily, including tennis instructors and
court maintenance staff.
Ensures that all club members and guests receive courteous, prompt, and professional attention
to all their tennis, bocce, and pickleball needs.
Creates lesson plans and runs instructional programs for pickleball, oversees and assists as
needed in developing tennis and bocce.
Provides both fee and complimentary lessons and clinics including skill development, technique,
and strategy.
Organizes and officiates/supervises all tournaments, leagues, and exhibitions.
Markets and promotes all recreation activities and club facilities.
Operates and manages the recreation office, handling sales and services related to racquet
equipment/accessories.
Enforces club policies and procedures regarding play on club courts.
Coordinates and assists with light equipment repairs and strings rackets.
Coordinates and assists as needed with maintenance and repair of courts with daily scheduled
play.
Inspects and maintains all physical tennis, bocce, and pickleball areas daily.
Writes and edits all racquets and recreation-related news for the club's newsletter.
Updates bulletin boards and flyers with the latest tennis, bocce, and pickleball information.
Develops a detailed annual calendar of tennis, bocce, and pickleball activities.
Selects, trains, supervises, schedules, and evaluates all recreation team members.
Establishes an inventory control system and submits monthly reports.
Delivers all charges and invoices to the accounting department.
Develops the budget for the recreation department, and takes corrective action as necessary
to help assure that the budget goals are met.
Attends staff meetings, recreation committee meetings, and special meetings of the Board of
Directors as required.
Assists the food and beverage manager and chef in coordinating food and beverage service for
tennis, bocce, and pickleball events.
Maintains an accurate record of all lessons, clinics, and charges given, providing written reports
on a monthly basis.
Represents the club at state or national pickleball events and tournaments with approval from
the club.
Purchases trophies for special tennis, bocce, and pickleball events.
Creates and promotes league play.
Responsible for a continuous improvement effort in the racquets and recreations operation
pertaining to service, quality, and cost reduction/management.
Process and approve employee timecards each pay period.
