This will include but is not limited to : Working with the Rig Manager to assist with post analysis reviews of critical actions and implementing ongoing best practice activities for future operationsEnsuring the safety of the drill crew and all support personnel working in and about the drill floorOverseeing proper rig up and rig down, continual preventive maintenance and repair of the equipment used in the drilling operations along with ensuring continual cleaning and housekeeping in and about the drill floorFulfilling the driller logTogether with the Rig Manager, continually training and developing employees working on the drilling rig so as to meet the employees' career goals while at the same time meeting the needs of the companyMonitoring the progress of the drilling operation, determining when bits need to be changed while operatingAdjusting mud pumps to maintain the proper circulation rate and advise how and when the mud mix needs to be changed in density and weightEnsuring accurate pipe tallies are keptEnsuring 'red-zone' policy is adhered toThe right candidate will : Demonstrate the ability to operate the rig utilising rig controls while monitoring operation of various equipment (pump pressures, weight indicator, drill string weight)Demonstrate knowledge of drilling rig equipment capacities and functionalities including but not limited to foremost top drives, compensator units, draw worksDemonstrate the ability to perform basic math functionsNEXT GEOSOLUTIONS UKCS Ltd Harbour House, 126Thorpe Road, NorwichNR1 1RJ (UK)T. +44 (0) 1603 733827NEXT GEOSOLUTIONSBV Sluisplein, 471975 AG Ijmuiden P.O.
