WSP Italia with 400 employees in 7 locations, has a new opportunity for: an Environmental Engineer/Specialist to join our Sustainability Services team on a full-time contract basis based in Turin or Milan . The candidate will join our multi-discipline and cross-national team to support in the development of projects in different industrial sectors. Key duties and responsibilities: Support to the authorization procedure for facilities (chemical and energy production) with specific reference to the preparation of periodic reporting in the context of Integrated Environmental Authorization – AIA, including: Periodical communications with the relevant Authorities including request for modification of the Authorization permit related to plant modifications Periodical communications: atmospheric emissions from large combustion plants, EPRTR, tariff calculation Evaluation of compliance with Best Available Techniques (BAT) Management of environmental monitoring data and other facility related data (safety, training etc…). Compliance audits and EHSS (Environment, Health, Safety, and Security) due diligence on various types of industrial facilities Support on studies under Italian Environmental Impact Assessment legislation (VIA, SIA, VINCA, etc.) for environmental-related components for national and international projects with particular attention to the physical components of environmental studies and impact management (e.g., baseline surveys planning and execution; geological, geomorphological, and hydrological studies; air; noise; GIS graphical tools, etc.). Skills, Experience & Qualifications: MS or MA degree in an environmental engineering or equivalent. Knowledge environmental assessment tools, environmental and social management systems, EHS due diligences and audits. Experience working in a similar environmental consulting role Good team player with capacity to network with colleagues of other offices / regions. Specific training and study / work experience at international level is a plus. Knowledge of management tools (GIS, ArcGIS, Microsoft package, etc.) is a plus. Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills in English Willingness to travel on short term visits (1 – 2 weeks) worldwide. What's in it for you?
