Environmental Rehabilitation Expert - Chemical Industry

AziendaOur Client is a multinational company leader in chemical engineering and manufacturing.Job DescriptionReporting to the HSE Manager, the environmental remediation expert will have the following responsibilities:Design and manage rehabilitation projects for the manufacturing siteDevelop remediation strategies, define and manage financial provisions, and purchase and direct the services from external consultants and contractors to perform investigations, design solutions, and deliver the greatest possible remediation plans against the most optimal costs and in full compliance with Italian laws and regulationsUse proven technical expertise, insights, and ability to propose innovative and efficient solutionsExpress capability to collaborate with a large panel of other professionals such as HSE, Engineering experts, Purchasing, Financial, Legal including external counsels, and CommunicationEstablish and maintain permanent and high-level relationships with local Authorities (Environmental agencies) and local Communities (governmental representatives, Region, Municipalities, NGOs)Work in compliance with the requirements indicated by the QHSE management system approved by the organisation.Competenze ed esperienzaThe successful candidate will have the following characteristics:Degree in Hydrogeology Engineering, Chemistry, or Biochemistry applied to environment or environmental remediation, Environmental Engineering or equivalentMinimum of 15 years of experience in polluted soil, water, or air remediation, either within an industrial company or within an environmental consultancy organisationExperience in managing contaminated sitesExperienced with Italian and European Environmental RegulationsFluency in Italian and English.
