Job Purpose: The Finance Project Leader is responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring teams to improve critical accounting and finance process to achieve business goals through digital empowerment and transformation. They are skilled in core Lean methodologies and tools such as value stream mapping, value add analysis and problem solving. Working knowledge of 6 Sigma and Lean principles will be key to achieve improvement goals effectively and efficiently. Project Leaders bring with them broad experience in operations, engineering, transactional and support processes. They will actively support Lean improvement execution, lead waste elimination projects, and build organizational Lean capabilities. Job Duties: Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager of the facility, Finance Project Leaders lead and support sustainable process improvement by diagnosing complex accounting and business problems and providing recommended treatment plans to deliver process improvements through the implementation of Lean Principles and Digital Tools when possible .This position will manage, and support projects related to process transformations using Lean, 6 Sigma and project management methodologies in Accounting and Finance Area. Finance Project Leaders must be able to provide technical expertise to accounting team in the deployment of Lean to drive process transformation aligned with business improvement strategies on functional and over functional process. Finance Project Leaders will be required to lead, coach, teach and develop others to use the tools and methodologies of Lean to drive sustained Continuous Improvement. Finance Project Leaders must build and maintain positive relationships with clients. They must be able to influence leaders by making a creditable case for change based on their experience and Lean technical capabilities. This position will manage and guide cross-functional team with the aim to implement projects related to process transformations using Lean, 6 Sigma and project management methodologies in Accounting and Finance Area. Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time. Background/Experience: Requirements Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Engineering or Information Technology, or an equivalent level of work experience Team leadership experience 6 Sigma / CPS / Lean Green Belt Solid project management skills Strong communication skills Experience in Finance/accounting Strong knowledge/experience on Microsoft 365 Fluent in English Available to travel regionally up to 25% Desired: Master's degree in Engineering or Business Experience as a 6 Sigma / CPS / Lean Black Belt Cross-functional knowledge and experience in at least one in Finance / Accounting and preferably in one other of the following areas: Information Technology Manufacturing / Operations Supply Chain Quality Human Resources Posting Dates: April 19, 2024 - April 26, 2024 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
