The Role We are looking for a Project Leader Finance to join our headquarters in Italy, reporting directly to the Head of Controlling and functionally reports to Product Line Director.
Project Controller (PLF) is a key figure integrated in the interfunctional team of the organized as product line. As PLF you will be the finance representative within the product line.
As a principle controller of a company investing on average 1 Bn € in a project lifetime and generating 1 Bn turnover per year, you have to steer and track the financial targets according to the mid and long-term company goals and report it in front of our Board of Management and Shareholders' committee.
You will have to accomplish each project milestone or project status (on a monthly base) trough appropriate financial KPIs of the project P&L approx. 1 Bn € turnover per year. You will assess the profitability of the base car and its personalization driving critical product decisions together with product line organization and implement concrete actions to meet financial targets.
You will be focused on the following activities:
Financial KPIs as Project RoS (Return on Sales), RoI (Return on Investments), NPV (Net Present Value) identifying actionable measures in case of deviations vs target
Build benchmarks within Lamborghini, VW Group and competitors comparable models, identifying profit and cost potentials or risks and supporting the product cost and expenditures reviews during all project lifetime
Supporting Commercial analysis (performed by Finance and Commercial Department) during pricing definition as well as forex exchange effects
On capex you are requested to define and achieve target budget for each functions (Purchasing, Production and R&D), supporting CTE (Chief Technical Engineer) and KEFAG (R&D Project Leaders) in budget management
Personally responsible of the financial Investments releases process within Audi Committee (IK) and Group Committee (K-VAI) coordinating the internal stakeholders
Product Line business case preparation (Make or buy analysis, Optional business evaluation through Product Grid, Color and Trim definition, personalization program Lev. 1)
Project planning for Budget/ Planning Round/Strategic Plan
Escalating to Product Line Director and Head of Controlling in case of major deviations
You Master University degree in Economics, Management or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent mindset educational path
5 years of experience in Controlling, Finance or Product Development in Automotive sector will be considered a plus
Fluent in English
