Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Group Accounting Policies and IFRS Reporting team.Key responsibilities:Definition, development and updating of Group IFRS 17 data model consisting of group accounting manual and related guidelines, chart of accounting, reporting hierarchies, and data validationsPreparation and review of annual and semi-annual audited consolidated financial statements, unaudited quarterly consolidated statements or accounts and other required filings, particularly with a focus on IFRS 17 dataPreparation and review of quarterly and annual regulatory submissions to the Italian Regulatory Authority and other applicable regulatorsSupport in preparing reports to the GCFO and Board on the Group's IFRS 17 KPIsSupport regarding process and efficiency improvement, particularly with a focus on systems and toolsInternal & external stakeholder management, such as risk management teams, or Group auditorSupport on tasks performed on other legal entities in the GroupSupport on group projects as they ariseRequirementsOur ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, with preference for academic studies in the financial sector. Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or business statistics with specialization in the insurance sector may also be taken into considerationMinimum of 2/3 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on international financial accountingStrong knowledge of general accounting and IFRSMust have excellent Microsoft Office skills - Excel, PowerPoint, Word and OutlookItalian and English working proficiencyNice to have:Proven experience working to tight reporting deadlinesAbility to work on own initiative with an ambitious attitudeAbility to collaborate and communicate effectively across various internal and external functionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a multi-national teamExperience with Tagetik is beneficialExperience in the Insurance industry is desirableSolvency II reporting experience is beneficialCompany ProfileGenerali is a major player in the global insurance industry - a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.
