The terminal, located in the heart of the Adriatic, is to accommodate growing demand and to become the future interchange platform between sea and rail on the intersection of Baltic, Adriatic and Mediterranean railway.Your gateway in the Adriatic to Europe.Head of Project & Transformation (HPT)Become part of HHLA PLT Italy and shape the gateway to the future with us!The HPT is responsible to transform the existing terminal towards the future, the HPT delivers on critical projects revolving around (1) way-of-working and project delivery, (2) digital transformation (TOS, gate, etc.), (3) way of working, (4) operational & organizational improvement.The HPT is the right hand of the CEO to ensure complex and cross-functional goals are met, the HPT identifies the transformation roadmap with the Project Director Expansion and the HIG COO. The CEO and the HPT will agree on the roll-out of the transformation roadmap in line with business goals, resources and timeline.The HPT leads a small Terminal Development team supplemented with ad hoc resources, the HPT primarily leads through others guiding and supporting senior management and project managers to deliver successfully. The HPT provides oversight of all transformation and development projects within the entity.What you can expectEnsure the Transformation Roadmap is deliveredTranslated the high-level business goals into actionable tasks/projectsLead your team, guide the senior management team, support the CEOEstablish companywide project management, including quality gatesRegularly follow-up and report-out status of critical projectsProvide oversight project management and content wiseManage resources (time, people, budgets)Liaise internally (senior management, Expansion team) and externally (public stakeholders)Adjust projects to changing business environmentComply with all the safety and security rules and regulations lead by exampleSupport the department and business unit where requiredFollow the corporate authority matrix, contract policies compliance guidelinesActively identify improvement opportunitiesWhat you bring to the tableWe're looking for a leader with a broad skill set that can inspire people to engage and deliver, while willing to dive into the content and ensure deliverables are met. This complex role streamlines the vision of the Business Unit, Expansion and HQ requirements into a single actionable and achievable Transformation Roadmap.Good English (Italian & German are plusses)Experience (10+ years) leading various fields (e.G. operations, technical, IT, etc.)Experience (5+ years) in combined infrastructure, technology, people industryExperience leading projects (> €1M, >1year, multiple internal/external shareholders)Excellent communication and problem-solving skillsComfortable in the board room and in the server roomProcess & logic driven mentality, clear safety leadershipPort/terminal experience is a plusRelevant University degree, relevant project certification (e.G.
