Internship Opportunity - Communications Department Villa San Michele - Belmond

We are looking for an intern to join our Communications department at Villa San Michele, A Belmond Hotel in Fiesole, on the hills of Florence. The intern position will provide support to the Communications Manager in daily operations concerning the planning and management of media visits (journalists, influencers, photographers) and the coordination of weekly events open to both in-house and external guests. Main duties : · Gather, check and process press clippings on a regular base through Belmond's platforms; · Draft monthly PR reports; · Maintain and update the media visits calendar and media database; · Be responsible for the uploading of new content and press releases on the company's info hub. · Support the organisation of press visits and press trips; · Lead site inspections of the property with journalists under the supervision of the Communications Manager. · Support the Communications Manager in the organisation and handling of photo/video shootings; · Support the creation of marketing materials and content for social media channels under the supervision of the Marketing and Communications Managers. · Support the Communications Manager in the coordination and operations of the weekly events calendar by keeping relations with suppliers, and by ensuring a smooth event flow; · Supervise the set up and internal communications for each PR event on property. · Support the promotion of the events with media and clients; · Keep track of data and draft the Weekly Events 2024 final report; · Be a point of contact in the communication department for all staff members. Requirements We require: · Higher education (Graduate or Undergraduate), preferably in communications, marketing and events. · PC literate and enthusiasm to learn new business platforms. · Outstanding communications skills, fluent in English and Italian both verbal and written; · Team player with excellent organisation and time management skills; problem solver; curious and enthusiastic with a great desire to learn on the job.
