We are looking for a Laboratory Technician (Intern) from August 2024.
Role Responsibilities The role holder will be responsible for the following:
Provide support to science teachers and students before and during their work in the laboratory.Be present in the laboratories for guidance of project works.Help prepare the necessary materials/solutions and equipment for the weekly practical lessons.Check inventory of lab equipment and organise lab equipment in appropriate storage spaces with clear labels indicating the equipment within each storage place.Help organise the purchase of materials, chemicals and instrumentation.Ensure care and maintenance of science labs and request maintenance for fixtures, fittings and services.Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.Qualifications A relevant bachelor's degree (eg: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or another related field).Right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work VISA).Contract Duration Fixed term contracr, with the possibility for extension and transformation.
Experience Similar experiences in other school environments (nice-to-have)Specialist skills & knowledge.Ability to use digital tools and resources effectively.Planning and organisational skills.Fluent C1 level English and Italian: reading, speaking, writing (Common European Framework of Reference - CEFR).Personal qualities and desired attitudes In addition to relevant qualifications, experience, and skills, we're looking for people who:
