We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on engineer or scientist to join our R&D team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing advanced laser micromachining processes and related hardware to address the diverse needs of our customers. You will work with our innovative laser system using IR, green and deep-UV together with advanced motion control and beam scanning systems. You will be involved in studying new laser processes on several materials (metals, alloys, plastics and glass) to address the more complex customers challenges. You will strongly interact with R&D members as well as with customers to set and perform specific feasibility studies with the aim of finding the right laser process configuration that meet their machining needs.
Responsibilities:Develop laser process techniques tailored to specific applications and customer requirements.Conduct laser-matter interaction studies on various materials.Contribute to R&D projects aimed at enhancing laser usage.Produce samples and small batches for customers.Provide technical support to the business development and sales teams, aiding in understanding the potential applications of our innovative laser technology.Participate in face-to-face meetings with clients to discuss their needs and provide technical expertise.Education, Experience & Skills:MSc degree in Lasers/Optical Engineering, Physics, Engineering, or a related field, supplemented by practical experience in optics or material science.Practical experience in laser applications development, with a focus on laser micromachining, would be considered as a plus.Knowledge in areas such as laser processing techniques, optics, motion control hardware integration, industrial processes and material science.Strong oral communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.Ability to multitask effectively and excellent time-management skills.Genuine interest in innovation and technology, with industrial experience being advantageous.If you are passionate about laser technology and innovation and possess the requisite skills and qualifications, we encourage you to apply.
