Media.Monks is on the lookout for a highly motivated Legal Counsel to join the Global Employment Team and help with the day-to-day legal employment matters for our offices in EMEA. This position will report to the Head of Employment Legal EMEA and will work closely with the People team to advise on a wide range of employment matters.
Your responsibilities:Provide strategic and practical day-to-day advice to the People team and other internal business partners on various employment topics in EMEA (with the assistance of external counsels where relevant), currently for France, Ireland, Italy, South Africa, Sweden and the United Kingdom.Serve as a central point of contact for the People team and other internal business partners for all pre-litigation employment-related disputesManage employment litigation matters in EMEA, including case strategy and communications with external counsel and internal stakeholdersDraft, review and update employment related documents (employment agreements, settlement agreements, offer letters, policies etc.)Develop and provide necessary training and presentations to the People team and other internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with all applicable employment lawsMonitor employment law developments, trends and best practices and provide guidance to internal stakeholdersLiaise with and manage external counselSupport and partner with other legal teams and internal stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and execute improvementAbout you:Master of Laws degree of a university in the UK (UK law), preferably in employment/ labor law1-3 years of experience in the field of employment law, preferably in-house experienceHave thorough knowledge of UK employment lawExperience in high-paced environmentFluent in English on a professional level (both spoken and written)Demonstrate a collaborative way of working and a strong ability to build relationships and partner with colleagues on a global scaleExcellent in communication, practical and solution-orientedDemonstrate to be proactive, accurate and work independentlyAbout Media.Monks: Media.Monks is the purely digital operating brand of S4Capital plc that connects 8,600+ digital natives across one global team.
