And we'll do it with the utmost integrity, and in an environment where everyone is seen, heard and feels like they belong.Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together.The role would entail supporting the Italian General Counsel Office Team in delivering on the following main responsibilities:Legal support for the full range of consumer and commercial contracts relating to the Italian market including drafting and negotiating distribution, procurement and services agreements.Support to the manager and counsel in monitoring, managing and effective implementation of relevant legislative developments at the domestic level (such as Payment Services, Consumer Credit, Data Protection, Anti-Money Laundering). Proactive role in making sure management understands and complies with legal and regulatory requirements affecting businesses conducted through regulated Italian entities as well as regulated subsidiaries.Effective partnering with other relevant support functions in management and resolution of projects and tasks relevant to the Italian business (e.g. Compliance, Public Affairs, Internal Audit, Risk Management, etc). Assisting the manager and counsel in managing the local corporate secretariat activities and litigation.Ideal Candidate Profile: Italian qualified lawyer. Oral and written fluency in both English and Italian.Experience working in the payment services, consumer card or related banking systems area.Current knowledge of payment services, consumer credit legislation and related Bank of Italy regulations, data protection and privacy and other legal and regulatory requirements applicable to financial and payment services in Italy.
