CLOSING DATE 22 APRIL 2024 NOV Remacut is seeking an experienced Mechanical Senior Engineer. In this role, you will utilise your technical knowledge and professional experience to contribute to the delivery of Pipelay, Handling, Lifting and Special Equipment into our customers. Acting under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, the role requires technical solutions and detail designing of Equipment throughout all phases of a project lifecycle from proposals to completion (including site installation and commissioning). You will be required to complete Mechanical deliverables for the purpose of quoting, designing and satisfying customer requirements acting as a focal point for technical matters on specific projects. You should be keen to take on fresh challenges, develop your technical and interpersonal skills as well as expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting projects. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design and develop customised customer-centric designs Produce and check Mechanical engineering documentation deliverables through quick and accurate engineering analyses (3d and 2d drawings, bills of materials, spreadsheet calculations, technical specifications, component selection, FEM calculations, etc.) Ensure all deliverables are technically in accordance with client requirements Ensure timely and thorough review of client specifications and communication of findings Participate in internal design review meetings, being aware of commercial implications Ensure that internal checking and approvals procedures are adhered to Review and respond to client comments Attend and participate in client meetings, always ensuring customer care is at the foremost position Contribute to the investigation, resolution and documentation of Engineering Queries in a timely and technically acceptable fashion Reduce cost of product through new design simplification and existing product redesign Be fully aware of personal workload, prioritise and organise to ensure deadlines are achieved Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy Be fully familiar and conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager Travel required as dictated by project needs (worldwide travel) for client meetings, and to provide site installation, commissioning and testing supportQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL SKILLS: Degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience in a Mechanical Engineer role Deep working Knowledge of engineering documents and drawings Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic circuit design and component selection Deep working knowledge of hand calculations Deep working knowledge of 3 D CAD Deep working knowledge of FEM tools Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook) Knowledge of industry standards (DNV, ISO etc.) Fluent in English
