Permits and Licenses Lead manages the development of PLT's process and follows up on the creation of all required documents and products including all related communication to secure all permits that are required to build and operate the Pier VIII.What you can expect Project management for environmental permitting projects to secure both operational and construction permits Project management for public works permitting projects to secure the construction permit Project management for other permits Ensure alignment between permitting assumptions and the baseline project scope and ensure close coordination between permitting, project development/ design activities and coordinate with related licencing and organisational capability development work Engage with external stakeholders (including the Port Authority, the Capitaneria di Porto, the Environmental Ministry, the Consiglio Superiore di Lavori Pubblici, fire fighters, customs, etc.) in relation to permitting Actively engage in communications / consultation activities associated with both the PLT Expansion civil team, the planning and controls engineers, the operational team and project management Manage overall delivery to cost, time, quality and to meet defined objectives Identify, specify and manage contracts as required from time to time to support delivery, work closely with technical specialists and procurement management colleagues Ensure best practice is implemented in relation to creation of evidence and management of documents and records Comply with all the safety and security rules and regulations lead by example Support the department and business unit where required Follow the corporate authority matrix, contract policies compliance guidelines Actively report improvement opportunities to direct report What you bring to the table We're looking for an experienced Permits and Licenses Lead excited to join the largest port development in Italy.The Permits and Licenses Lead is an accurate and process-minded individual able to engage with the different authorities. The person would have a high sense of responsibility as the role is vital to track the progress of the entire project and ensure the deliverables are achieved. Good English (Italian and/or German are a plus) A proven track record in the management and delivery of similar scopes of work Demonstrable technical knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory requirements for projects at all stages of the permitting process Track record of delivering projects on time and on budget Understand the needs of quality and how quality is assured and controlled in their area of expertise Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks Experience of successfully engaging and communicating with internal and external stakeholders Experience of working in a multi-culture, international environment The ideal candidate would have a valid EU working permit and would be willing to work in Trieste.HHLA PLT Italy is part of HHLA Group, with over 6.400 employees worldwide.
