We promote excellence in basic and applied research for a truly multidisciplinary scientific experience.Your TeamYou will be working in a multicultural group, where computational scientists and molecular biologists collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. We aim to understand how non-coding elements (DNA/RNA) and their epigenetic/epitranscriptomics modifications regulate 3D genome architecture and gene expression in stem cells and cancer models. To address this question, we use cutting-edge chromatin conformation assays such as Hi-C, Hi-ChIP and Pore-C in conjunction with other -omics techniques (e.g. ChIP-seq, TT-seq, scRNA-seq) and in combination with CRISPR-based genetic and epigenetic engineering tools. In-house produced data is then integrated with publicly available datasets with the final goal to understand how ncRNAs can induce and/or maintain 3D promoter-enhancer contacts, which ultimately determines the transcriptional program that dictates stemness and tumorigenesis.
