Summary #Thisiswhere you can plan and execute EMC compliance testing for Medical Device equipment, from in-house pre-compliance assessment to formal reports submission of the compliance tests executed in external certified testing facilities. What you'll be doing Definition of the test plan to assess compliance of the Medical Device equipment under development or change to Electromagnetic Compatibility requirements coming from state-of-the-art medical standards Execution of preliminary tests on the device in internal laboratory, to assess overall conformance to product specifications and checking related margins against requirements Management of electronic instruments for EMC testing, assessing their calibration and validity for results, interacting directly with external testing houses, suppliers and laboratories when needed Coordinate the execution of the formal compliance testing of the Medical Device equipment at the certified testing facility (e.g. CSA, UL, TUV or others), supporting the shipment of the equipment to the external laboratory and being present during test execution at the location of the testing facility Execution of documental activities to report formally test results according to design control process and procedures Make design recommendations to propose technical solutions for improvement of EMC robustness of the device, cooperating with the global design team for the requirements definition derived from the international standards, for the countermeasures to implement to improve safety margins and by assessing the product testability for test execution What you'll bring B.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent in a technical/scientific field) is preferred (but not mandatory) and 3-5 years related experience. Deep understanding of theories/practices utilized in Electromagnetic Compatibility field, and a solid competence base in Electronics and Electrics. Practical expertise in electrical/electronic laboratory instruments usage is appreciated Knowledge of international standards for product requirements and testing methodologies for EMC compliance is highly appreciated.
