About the roleJoin our dynamic team at our plant in Porcari (LU) as a Process Engineer. Reporting directly to the Operations leader, you will assume significant activities for the plant's operations. Lucca 1's site, a division of Essity PLD, is renowned for its specialization in the production and transformation of tissue paper. It serves both the B2B mother reels market and provides intercompany mother reels supply. This exciting position offers the opportunity to take ownership of our machine processes and process control systems, ensuring their smooth operation on a daily basisWhat you will do:Take ownership and oversee the development of troubleshooting skills among manufacturing professionals.Act as a subject matter expert for machine processes, providing expertise and guidance.Actively participate in or lead Continuous Improvement projects.Identify and support projects aimed at improving long-term productivity, waste reduction, quality, and safety performance.Manage safety-oriented processes for yourself and your team members.Apply established engineering principles to manufacture high-quality tissue-based consumer products.Perform standard technical tasks and prepare operation sheets accordingly.Monitor production processes and work methods, collecting, compiling, and analyzing production data to identify opportunities for process improvement.Learn to troubleshoot using root cause analysis methodology.Drive projects to support continuous improvement initiatives and achieve set deliverables.Take ownership of your continued learning and complete industry-specific in-house training modules.Who you are:Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field (preferred), or equivalent experience.Minimum of process engineering experienceFamiliarity with maintenance planning or Continuous Improvement methodologies is advantageousProject management experience is a plus.Proficiency in SAP or another Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Mill Execution Systems (MES).Strong skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Ability to estimate man-hours for maintenance work.Capable of leading teams through change and improvement initiatives.We highly value your professionalism and expertise, and we firmly believe that your skills align perfectly with the requirements of this role.
