The Jacobs office in Italy is currently looking for:PROJECT ENGINEERPrimary job responsibilities:Support the Project Manager and/or the Engineering Manager in the technical management of the project to hit targets: costs, time schedule, performance and quality, zero incidentsCollaborate with the Project Manager and/or the Engineering Manager in project planningFacilitate, monitor and guarantee the correct flow of information among all project team (Jacobs team, Consultants, Client and Vendors)Monitor the design progress and coordinate the activities of all engineering disciplinesManage the Project Deliverable List as a live document all along the project durationManage the Coordination Documents (Equipment Layout, Equipment List, etc…) and guarantee their continuous updateDirectly manage P&IDs (Master Copy) or monitor their managementSupport the Procurement in the coordination of all engineering disciplines (consistency of the tender documentation, bids alignment, negotiations, vendor follow-up)With support of the Project Manager and the Quality Manager, identify and put in place corrective actions to project concernsWhenever necessary assume the role of Field Project Engineer and support Construction Management staff for site activitiesThis position reports directly to the Manager of Project Engineers and to the Project Manager when assigned to projects.Here's What You'll Need:Degree in EngineeringMin 5 years of experience in the design of industrial projectsExperience in Pharmaceutical, Buildings and Logistic business would be an assetKnowledge of technical and commercial obligationsExperience in setting, development, evaluation and implementation of technical specs and documentation for RfQ (Request for Quotation)Experience in technical bid analysis and support to procurementCoordination skills and ability to motivate team members on defined goalsProblem solving attitudeAccountability on schedule and costsKnowledge in local and international technical codesOther requirements:Fluent English and Italian languages knowledge is a mustAvailability to frequent travels or short/long term assignments abroad is required by the positionHigh level of Safety AwarenessPlease submit your resume in English.We know that if we are inclusive, we're more connected, and if we are diverse, we're more creative.
