Quality Engineer - Suppliers

Job TitleQuality Engineer - Suppliers Job DescriptionQuality Engineer SuppliersThe resource, reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Engineer - Supplier, at the Piacenza office, will have the following responsibilities:Maintain and update supplier rating and corrective action records; monitor and analyse records to identify/prevent main criticality and ensure supplier capability of consistently meet the requirements.Develop long-term supplier relationships; establish specific short / medium term supplier quality goals; support the understanding of engineering and manufacturing specs to supplier technicalteams.Maintain and update supplier audit system and schedule dedicated audit for historical and new suppliers; travel to supplier locations to carry out process and quality system audits.Participate in the development, management, and maintenance of Quality strategy, processes and guidelines within Global Quality and expand a continuous improvement culture.Provide regular communication to management on major activities.Requirements for the position:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other related field with than 2-3 years related experience in "Supplier Quality " or equivalent combination of education and experience; preferably oriented into machining and welding processes.The ability to manage multiple quality projects and sites with the flexibility to respond to a dynamic and multicultural environment.Must be fluent in English.The ability to read technical drawings and standards.Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office applications; SAP (preferred);Knowledge of various quality tools: 8D, Lean, 5 Why's, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFEMA, PPAP, etc. (preferred)Personal characteristicsResults oriented and organized with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines.Strong problem solving, communication skills, analytical and organizational skills, team work ability to participate in cross functional team.Position opportunities:Enjoy a multinational and highly dynamic context.Constant professional growthOpportunity to work on innovative international projects.Employment TypeFull time Employment StatusPermanent Work Hours40 Travel Requiredsi LocationBolzoni EMEA Italy - Piacenza AddressZip Code29027 Field-BasedYes Relocation Assistance AvailableNo BOLZONI IS ONE OF THE WORLDWIDE LEADING MANUFACTURERS OF LIFT TRUCK ATTACHMENTS, FORKS AND LIFT TABLES, WITH THE MOST EXTENSIVE PRODUCT RANGE IN THE MARKET.
