Leading company in the make-up contract manufacturing sectorEntrepreneurial role with a focus on the development of the Italian MarketAbout Our ClientInternational leading company in the make-up contract manufacturing sector.Job DescriptionThe new manager is a leader with solid experience in developing different make up products such as foundation, concealer, lipstick, and powders. This person has comprehensive expertise in the entire product development cycle, encompassing formulation, packaging, and filling. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for leading the scale up process of the upcoming products.Provide strategic leadership and direction for the cosmetics R&D team, aligning research and development efforts with company goals and objectives.Lead the development of innovative cosmetic formulations and products, leveraging scientific expertise and market insights to drive growth and competitive advantage (foundation, concealer, lipstick, and powders)Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, manufacturing, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless product development and launch processes.Be updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in cosmetics.Manage R&D budgets, resources, and time lines effectively to meet project goals and milestones.Build and maintain relationships with external partners, suppliers, research institutions, and industry experts to enhance R&D capabilities and access new opportunities.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for cosmetics safety, quality, and labelling.Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders, including sales, customer service, and training teams, as needed.The Successful ApplicantBachelor or Master in Chemistry / Formulation.Minimum of fifteen/twenty years of experience in cosmetics research and development, with a proven track record of successful product launches.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive results.Deep understanding of cosmetic formulation principles, ingredient functionality, and product development processes.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for cosmetics.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time-lines, and allocate resources effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and quality.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external partners.Fluency in English and ItalianWhat's on OfferGreat career opportunity.
