Summary Covering this role, you'll display standard engineering principles to resolve difficult problems, from conception to final design with team input. You'll plan, schedule and lead project assignments in the evaluation, selection and adaptation of various engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria with minimal guidance. What you'll be doing Schedule and lead a team through the planning and execution of a smaller project or defined piece of a larger project. This includes constructing detailed, accurate project schedules, and interfacing with development groups and technical support groups, including Regulatory Certification partners like e.g., TUV, CSA and BSI Verification of compliance for Medical electrical equipment to related IEC Standards (IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-2-16 "constructional safety" for HW components related requirements, IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 60601-1-8, IEC 60601-2-30/ EN 1060) and other applicable regulations, including test execution on site and in cooperation with external certified laboratories Electrical verification activities in change management process, with test protocols definition, execution, and documental reporting for HW components Devise new approaches to complex problems through adaptation and modification of standard technical principles What you'll bring BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent in a technical/scientific field) and 5 - 8 years related experience Display a solid understanding of theories/practices utilized both in Electronics, Electrics, Electromechanics and preferably also by other disciplines outside the primary area of expertise. Deep knowledge of IEC 60601-1 family standards for medical devices and direct expertise in EMC testing methodologies are appreciated Ability to influence management on courses of action with minimal assistance using both written and verbal methods Effectively operate in and may facilitate cross-functional teams with guidance, applying strong and effective verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding of business objectives and cost implications.
