JOB MISSION The mission of this role will be to act as a responsible for the management of technical aspects of the packaging items and systems development. He/she will develop, approve, and control technical specifications for packaging components and their assembling at industrial level in line with our sustainable values and strategy.  DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  Advise and Manage Technical aspects of the packaging development processes; Contribute to the development or improvement of company processes by writing, analysing, revising, and developing internal procedures and systems required to ensure GMP compliance; Design experiments to validate the performance of the mechanical designs; Validate samples, quotes, and specs needed for internal testing and pre-production batches; Develop line trial protocols, attend the filling tiral and validate process and specifications; Build close cooperation with Plant Engineering, R&D, Marketing, Operations and Logistics departments; Build close and cooperative relationships with external suppliers and manufacturers. Focus on Marketing Projects: Assist the development of package designs from concept to production with a particular insight on manufacturing and deliver innovative results that support brand strategy; Provide engineering evaluation of packaging concepts throughout preliminary design stage; Assist the development of new package components, including specifications to assure correct specification for manufacturing by:  Conducting feasibility analysis on designs, manufacturability, costing, and time-to-market for efficient manufacturing.  Defining appropriate testing plan and analyze / interpret results for packaging assembling industrial process (internal and third-party manufacturers). Ensuring that related projects are executed safely, on time and within budget estimates. Be the point of reference acting as author of technical documents and processes. Ensure safety and quality aspects of packaging and procedures meet company requirements. Focus on Change Control Projects:  Guides and approved technical specification change with the aim of quality and efficiency upgrade. Examine quality issues with packaging and work with suppliers to correct issues; Create and manage change requests within the document control system; Complete Technical Profiles and Specification for new and existing products, as needed; Conduct review meetings with multiple facilities regarding packaging issues. Communicate status and escalates complex packaging issues do Technical Director and Plant Director in role of Lean team member; Assist with line trials of new / transferring components as needed (internal and third party manufacturers); Identify innovative cost-saving opportunities and continuous packaging improvements; Lead the day-to-day R&D Packaging Engineering support across product development Core Teams; Liaise with other teams to achieve solutions and to resolve issues with existing deployments. PERSON SPECIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS Master's degree in engineering; At least 5 years of experience in a similar role and in multinational and industrial contexts (cosmetic, pharma or food industry);  Previous experience in companies applying LEAN methodologies (e.g. WCM); Other certifications in LEAN High level of written and oral communication skills; Strong attitude to influence and inspire different stakeholders; High level of Problem-solving; Resilience and strong interpersonal skills; Leadership; Deep and concrete attitude for human contacts and teamwork, problem solving attitude and excellent communication skills; High analytical skills and flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changes; Passion for the cosmetic sector; Predisposition to speak in public; Fluent in English.
