Join Our Talent Community Job Title: Relationship Manager Location: Milan, Italy Job Purpose Relationship Manager, Corporate Coverage (Business Development Function) working in the Wholesales Banking Europe division. The role focuses on originating and developing business through the management of existing corporate client relationships and the identification and onboarding of new-to-bank corporate client relationships. This involves ensuring the sustainability and growth of capital efficient income streams through selling / originating the Bank's Wholesale Banking Product suite, including Transactional Banking (Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance & Cash Management) and other Lending products in line with Bank ABC Group's strategy, risk appetite and meets the various targets and KPIs set by Senior Management. Job Context To manage client expectations and at same time deliver following Bank ABC internal requirements and process. To be able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. An ability to provide solutions and to follow them carefully through is required. It is important to demonstrate commercial vocation, client centricity, whilst at the same time ensuring that the Bank is not exposing itself to risks that exceed the Bank's appetite. To work well within a team and be capable of recognizing when matters should be raised to management for further discussion and action. Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Deliverables •To work closely with other members of Milan Business Development team to help grow corporate client relationships, business, and income. •Maintaining and growing existing corporate relationships with Italian and other Milan coverage countries Corporates. Sustain Milan branch through the creation of new corporate client relationships to deliver in the revenue origination targets and other KPIs set annually •Origination and pricing of Wholesale Banking products, with a focus on Trade Finance and Transactional banking including confirmation and LCs discounts, issuance of guarantees, , Pre export Financing, Receivable Discount Facilities, as well as other Credit & Lending products such as RCF and TLs and cross-sell the full product suite a that fit both the client's and the Bank's requirements. •Risk and market analysis to offer clients adequate solutions in terms of both business and risks. •Liaison with and maintenance of effective relationships with other areas of the Bank/ABC Group such as Country Managers, Head of Corporate Coverage and Senior Relationship Managers, Credit, Trade Finance Support, Risk Distribution, Insurance, Legal, Risk Management, Compliance, Transaction Management and Control, including present in various committees such as Credit, Reputational Risks as and when required •Establish detailed marketing and account plans and travel to meet with existing and prospect clients involving Credit/Support function as necessary. •Obtain all necessary information from the clients to support an adequate capital and credit approval process. Maintain client files, reports and provide regular reports to line management. •Work closely with Middle Office in the preparation of Credit Applications. Knowledge •In-depth knowledge of Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance business/structures/ documentation as well as other banking products like credit lending and cash management. Ability to evaluate and manage risk and to maximize the profit for the Bank. Attributes •Strong interpersonal skills and strong commercial skills to maximize results.
