Job DescriptionThe RFP Competence Center supports sales and client service efforts of the Product & Distribution team for our distribution business (Institutional, Wholesale and Retail). It is also responsible for creating the documents which articulate Generali Asset & Wealth Management's unique value proposition and brand commitments to clients around the world. Furthermore, the Competence center is responsible for scouting new RFP opportunities, completes requests for proposals (RFPs), due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), requests for information (RFIs), as well as completing and maintaining Consultant Databases (both local and international). The team works closely with our sales, client service team, product specialists, compliance, legal and operations to respond to the questionnaires to create, curate and maintain these client documents. In fulfilling its responsibilities, the team collaborates with the investment teams and subject matter experts of the A&WM's business units.The ideal candidate will work on the following activities:Supporting the RFP in the research, writing, and editing responses to RFPs/RFIs/DDQs and supporting in managing content within the RFP databaseSupporting the scouting of RFP opportunities and work closely with the sales manager who owns the opportunity in Italy (and abroad when needed)Collaborate with boutiques of Generali Investments' ecosystem (Sycomore, Infranity, Generali AM, Aperture, Sosteneo, Plenisfer, etc.) on all asset classes (liquid, private assets, etc.)Facilitating pre-proposal planning meetings/strategies with the Italian sales teamCollaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure specific content are complete and accurate and always try to find new and innovative ways to improve existing contentAct as a primary stakeholder in product identification, pricing structure and specific challenging discussions / topicsInterfacing with many business partners who will help in providing data and answering questions more thoroughly (e.g., Sales teams, Portfolio Managers, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Finance and other departments)Maintaining consistent product messaging and updated product language and data in RFP Language database and on consultant and third-party databasesCompleting and updating Consultant DatabasesRequirementsOur ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:Master's Degree preferably in economics, finance, management engineering or mathematicsKnowledge of RFP or similar role within an international asset management firm (3-5 years of experience)Solid skills in Project managementProficient in use of IT systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (notably, Excel spreadsheets); Knowledge of specific RFP tools is a plus, in particular Responsive (formerly known as RFPio)Ability to interact in a multicultural environmentWork with a goal-oriented approach and take proactive actions in the achievement of positive net inflow objectivesWillingness to learn technical info, including philosophy, research and investment processes of our productsHigh standard of English and Italian - any other EU language (French, German or Spanish) is a strong plusOrganizational, planning, writing and communication skillsAn interest in ensuring accuracy, clarity and quality of workProblem solving and analytical skillsConfidence in operating within a client-facing environmentWillingness to work in challenging environmentCompany ProfileGenerali is a major player in the global insurance industry - a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.
