Senior Buyer - Metal & Powertrain (Automotive)
For an OEM Automotive Company, part of an international group, we are looking for a Buyer focusing on Metal & Powertrain commodities.
The person will report to the Interiors Commodity Manager and will be part of the Procurement Department.
She/He will be responsible for the complete management of material group within the Metal & PowertrainCommodity area.
As member of the Procurement Dept., she/he will be a fundamental key contributor for the achievement of the company objectives.
The candidate will be actively involved in organizing supply chains for our supplier relationships through the international networks within the Group and will work extensively on on-going and new vehicle projects.
Key Responsibilities: Leading price negotiations and mediate award decisions through a worldwide Bidder's List
Identifying & Leading cost Saving Ideas including supplier visits at plant
Scouting for New Suppliers and Innovation with a deep focus on Economics and Business Sustainability
Analysing new market trends and derive acquisition strategies in the Metal & PowertrainCommodity.
Being an active player in the Group Commodity Meeting aligning the Purchasing Strategy to international standards
Early involvement in the Project to Define best technology to match project Needs & Target
Working with the latest e-procurement solutions
Active member of cross functional teams
Requirements: University degree in Engineering/Economics
3/4years of experience in Procurement
Background in the automotive sector is considered a plus
Fluent English and Italian, German will be considered a plus
Good negotiations skills
Able to manage complex supply chain
