Description
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Senior IT Investment Analyst to work in our Information Technology (IT) department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls, Idaho facility with every other Friday off. Remote or Hybrid work opportunities may be available for this position.
You will report to the Deputy CIO and you will as a Senior IT Investment Analyst you will provide overall planning, analysis, and allocation of financial resources for IT investments.
Responsibilities Include: Collaborate on forecasting processes, incorporating IT investments to ensure accurate predictions and resource allocation. Define and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of IT services, ensuring strategic alignment and value delivery. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial processes.Monitor financial and investment performance against budgets, identifying and addressing variances. Oversee IT invoice management, ensuring accuracy, processing, and adherence to financial policies.Build relationships, serve as a liaison between IT and Business Management, Finance, and Accounting. Work with the FP&A teams to develop and manage IT budgets, providing insights for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.Explore ways to enhance IT investment reporting.Develop and track IT financial indices. Identify and design effective methods for analyzing IT budgets vs. IT actual costs, forecasts, and other financial indices.Forecast out-year funding, carryover projections, FTE projections, indirect cost affordability, etc. Help prepare and analyze IT level indirect rates and forecasts.Provide data for IT level and senior management data requests. Perform ad-hoc analysis for management, staff, sub-contractors and DOE.Prepare IT level financial reports, Leadership Team presentations.Perform impact analysis on IT spends.Review IT practices, actions, and proposals and provide suggestions for solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Accounting or Finance or related degree.8+ years of experience conducting analysis of IT investments and operations.2 years of information technology experienceDemonstrated experience managing, and implementing complex, high-profile programs or a large-complex portfolio of IT projects.Analyze data, draw conclusions, and communicate recommendations.Applicants are subject to the requirements of DOE O 142.3B, Unclassified Foreign National Access Program.
