The Senior Process Development Engineer, is responsible for the development of processes and prototyping equipment for disposables manufacturing.

JOB FUNCTIONS: The Process Development Engineer:
is responsible for self and team technical skills development, in collaboration with the functional manager; is responsible for the development of processes and prototyping equipment for disposables manufacturing. defines Equipment Performance Specifications (EPS) and realizes prototyping equipment and processes in cooperation with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. works intensively with Mechanical Engineers, Prototyping Engineers, Process Engineers and Automation Engineers, applying hands-on technical skills and engineering skills in order to transform prototyping phases into physical parameters leading to process and equipment technical specifications. defines technical solutions for the development of new and existing processes; collaborates to the technical feasibility for products or subsystems, as well as to the investigation of product/process issues in order to identify root causes; uses the expertise he/she has developed in devices manufacturing to investigate physical failures through reverse engineering, autopsy, measurements and inspections using either destructive and non destructive methods. keeps traceability and highlight deviations of the parameters applied to several configurations of devices. participates in interdisciplinary project teams and networks, providing and exchanging expertise in the Disposable Area. Cooperates with Operations stakeholders to define manufacturing times and methods. REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or ITS / High school Technical Diploma with experience with similar profiles Fluent in Italian and English, both spoken and written; At least 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing companies – medical devices as nice to have Broad technical experience in hands-on manufacturing processes and equipment of disposables, polymeric, biomedical device environment, measurement system Knowledge of testing laboratory machinery Attitude to initiative and proactivity Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: LivaNova values equality and celebrates diversity.
