As a full-time Project Controls Engineer, you will be part of a team of professionals, client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders working on data center projects. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules and project control systems throughout the project lifecycle. Position is based in the US, generally working 9-5.
General responsibilities include:Responsible for developing connectivity templates and implementing them at the project level with the support of the site teams. Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goalsPerform critical path analyses and identify schedule-related problems, recommend corrective actionsConduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for project site teamDevelop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the programReview contractor's progress and present to management for decision-makingCommunicate project status and challenges effectivelyReview and evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and scheduleParticipate in change order negotiations and evaluate contractor recovery schedulesUnderstand cost estimating and productivity principles to validate the project scheduleRequirements:5+ years of scheduling experience with at least two years on data centersStrong understanding of telecom and be able to revise template as new DC designs are createdStrong understanding of cost engineering, scheduling, and delay analysis theories, principles, and practicesKnowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencesFamiliarity with the Critical Path Method of scheduling both theoretically and as it applies in project managementFamiliarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and schedulingAbility to accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts/general conditions) at all levels of designAbility to read and interpret RFPs and RFIsProficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft OfficeExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyBenefit and Perks:Healthcare, dental, and vision insurance401(k) + employer matchLife and AD&D coverage 100% employer paidVoluntary life, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insuranceLife Assistance ProgramPaid Time Off + 10 paid holidaysWellness ProgramSquishy rhinosTeam events$95,000 - $130,000 a year
