You will be responsible for coordinating projects, preparing technical sections and reports, conducting resource impact analysis, monitoring project areas during construction and managing (3) field biologists. Qualified candidates will have at least eight (8) years of professional consulting experience related to northern California's native fish, reptiles, amphibians, and wildlife species, as well as relevant field survey experience, with demonstrated team leadership abilities. Senior Wildlife Conservation Biologist Responsibilities • Lead project-level and resource-level investigations
• Review projects for potential impacts to sensitive species
• Prepare technical sections of environmental documents
• Manage, mentor, and support (3) field biologists
• Conduct resource impact analysis in support of NEPA and CEQA documents
• Coordinate with State and Federal agencies; prepare permit applications
• Monitor project areas during construction
• Perform field studies, wetland delineations, habitat assessments, & associated mapping
Senior Wildlife Conservation Biologist Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in wildlife biology or a closely related field required
• 8+ years of relevant professional wildlife consulting experience required
• Experience conducting field surveys for N. California wildlife habitats required
• Management/team leadership experience required
• Experience preparing permit applications required
• Familiar with GIS/GPS field data collection/mapping required
• Ability to travel approximately 25% (majority local, some overnights) required
