Our large media client is looking for a Sr Product Designer with experience in messaging systems (in-app notifications, pop-overs, emails). You'll be responsible for helping build out a design system for messaging.This includes email UI, visual design, refresh of emails, push-designs, and in-app notifications. We're looking for candidates skilled in Figma, UX and systems thinking as well as messaging.
Start Date: April 2024Duration: 1 year +Location: Remote (must reside in the US)Join our client's Messaging XD design team, whose goal is to create and deliver the right messages through the right channel at the right time to nurture consumers' relationships. This role supports the Consumer Messaging Platform team who seeks to help our client become best in class with messages that support our business and members. This role will support the roadmap for the creation of new messages, as well as revamping the overall look and feel ofmessages, such as email, push notifications, and interstitial messages.
Responsibilities Design new messages from the existing Messaging component library in Figma.Create message concepts from new requirements in the project roadmap, partnering with other XD designers to ensure consistencyPartner with the copywriter to integrate new copy for each new message.Own the end-to-end design process—from blue sky design exploration to UX specs and quality UI designs, while working closely with cross-functional partners to balance polish and speed towards an effective execution.Develop and maintain positive relationships and collaborations with partners and stakeholders (such as engineers).Qualifications Proven 5+ years experience in product design who has had experience with messaging, or included messaging in your past workDemonstrates creative excellence in visual design and UXAbility to manage multiple stakeholders while advocating for the needs of the memberThrives in ambiguity, working seamlessly between fast iterations and bigger picture thinkingDeep understanding of user expectations, behavior, and trends around building messaging experiencesMultiple successful product/feature launches that drove meaningful impact to messaging experiences and the businessAble to independently organize, break down, and structure complex problemsConsistently produces and/or facilitates deliverables that showcase a high quality of workAbility to quickly produce a great range of UX/UI concepts, as well as go deep to identify edge casesThrives in ambiguity and is flexible with varying working styles of partnersExperience with A/B testing and using data to inform design decisions is a plusThe target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $70-$100 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
