Come and be our new Software Service Engineer, as we expand and develop our offering to the market.ResponsibilitiesA day in the life of our Software Service Engineers ….You will contribute to the service department's work, will be to use your software and electrical engineering skills. You will be working on the installation and maintenance of our machines and our product lines and your role will require you to be flexible travelling around 120-150 days a year to our customer sites.As part of our service team you will provide technical support to our customer especially on Software issues, and controls and process issuesA consistent part of your support work will be performed remotelyYou will however be part of a team and assistance from office is there to support youAs Software Service Engineer you will be troubleshooting on JBT machines, including parts identification and finding technical solutionsFrom the beginning of a new project where you will install onsite to then the customer care of this machine once up and running, your role will care for the software maintenance and process controlThere is another side to an Engineering role at JBT and that is working with customers to identify opportunity to promote JBT by discussing upgrading of lines, replacement of parts and sometimes revamping existing machinery – the conversations you have with our customers will be key to pass this information onto our sales team If you have worked in a food processing Engineering role previously this would be an advantageWe are looking for a good team worker, but with the ability to independently operateSomeone with resilience and first-class customer care skillsQualificationsQualifications and Technical skills … Functional/technical skills required ideally with an Electrical, Automation and Software Engineering backgroundSomeone with a thirst for technical skills learning (as we relentlessly improve our offering to the customer)An interest in IOT would be useful due to the innovative way in which our machinery is being developed A technical degree in Electrical Engineering or Software certification would be excellentKnowledge of PLC controls preferably Siemens S7/TIA Portal The ability to communicate well in English is a must, Italian would be great, and another language (Spanish) would be advantageous.
