Meaningful Work From Day One In this role, you will lead a team of 6 people across the local planning & logistics and customer service, overseeing all the supply chain activities of Brown-Forman Italy and the distributor markets of Austria, Switzerland and Malta. This includes the IBP process, demand forecasting, inbound shipments, warehousing management, co-packing planning, logistics services, customer service, supplier management, and customs and excise tax administration regulatory activities. As a key member of the B-F Italy team, you will provide leadership, counsel, and advice on key supply chain issues to the Italy & Apls leadership team. You will collaborate closely with commercial leaders to deliver the best service possible to our customers. You will have an entrepreneurial, agile approach and a solution-oriented mindset to look for opportunities to improve service, review and adapt processes and build efficiencies across the Iberia supply chain. You will build a culture of excellence, inspiring and motivating the team to be agile and proactively deliver the best they can. You will develop the Brown-Forman Italy & Alps Supply Chain function. You will establish an effective and trusted business partnering with Brown-Forman's Italy & Alps Business and Europe Supply Chain Leaderships, taking ownership of the supply chain strategies, reporting, and analysis for these markets. You will own the relationship with the Italian 3PL providers and lead any tender process for logistics service providers when required. This role will be responsible for the Supply Chain Strategy and Planning to support profitable business growth, budgets, projections, financial analysis, capital expenditures, and administrative functions. Ensuring the team provides analytical support and analysis for commercial and brand operations, including decision support, logistics, and supply chain issues. What You Can Expect Supply Chain Leadership Providing input and leadership to influence the company's supply chain strategy, improving the company's customer service levels and special projects as necessaryDevelop and implement strategic supply plans to deliver the company's targetsEnsure Supply chain representation and collaboration at the senior level (e.g., IBP) with key stakeholders Team Management & Development Provides strong leadership and direction to local/country Supply Chain teams with 3 direct reportsLeads a diverse and inclusive culture where different perspectives are encouraged, and individuals feel connected and valuedIn collaboration with the HR department, identify the organizational capability gaps and addresses them through appropriate learning and development programsSupports team development by providing opportunities and coaching to the team with ongoing appreciative & constructive feedbackParticipates in initiatives to build talents for the short & long-term, e.g., Talent Review, Performance Growth Planning, etc. Business Partnering Primary contact and supply chain business partner for B-F's Italy & Alps leadership team and organization to identify supply chain issues and guide, coordinate, support, and track appropriate action of local supply chain resources (external) and/or B-F Regional and Corporate Supply Chain Integration teams to achieve resolution and minimization of future occurrences wherever possible.Regularly report relevant key supply chain metrics to B-F's Italy & Alps leadership team and the regional supply chain to track levels of business support and operational effectiveness/excellence.Support local projects with supply chain impact during conception, implementation, and execution, such as Portfolio Changes, Packaging Changes, RTC changes, Trade Contingencies, etc., and liaise with corp./reg. Supply Chain teams to timely obtain appropriate support and guidance. Supply Chain Planning Own the monthly planning cycle and the in-market IBP process in collaboration with the US planning team according to the corporate business calendar to ensure forecast accuracy and product availabilityContinuously enhance and support ongoing demand and inventory planning routines and ensure robust visibility of demand drivers, distributor inventory, and logistics parameters/restrictions.Enhance the local demand planning processes at adequate granularity levels in close collaboration with local commercial teams and distributor partners, monitoring monthly performance KPI to drive forecast improvementsProvide timely transparency of un-usual demand drivers (permanent or one-off) and access its impact on product availability and service levelsProvide timely transparency to upstream supply disruption with potential impact on local business (e.g., bottling line or glass availability constraints)Manage the SKU allocation process for new, Value Added Packs, and limited SKUs, plan quantities with commercial teams, manage orders and inventory, and communicate plans and specific country requirements to production, demand planning, and the brand teams.Inventory optimization, SKU rationalization, and SLOB reduction plans Managing Local Warehousing, Copacking, and Logistics Performance (Italy) Supervise and support the outsourced management of local warehousing, copacking, and transportation service providersMonthly tracking of KPIs regarding quality, stability, and cost of serviceMonthly performance review meetings with the 3PL and drive continuous improvements initiativesIdentify operational issues/bottle-necks and initiate the timely implementation and execution of countermeasuresBuild trustful working relationships with the logistics service providers and co-packersGuide and support annual and ad-hoc inventory count procedures Coordination of Replenishment and Inbound Logistics (Austria, Switzerland and Malta) Be the primary contact person and liaison between local B-F Italy & Alps commercial and Corporate Customer Service and Logistics teams to monitor and track timely inbound flows and ensure proactive exception reporting.Provide visibility of open orders and in-transit shipments to relevant internal and external stakeholdersContinuously assess shipment delays' impact on the distributors' inventory. Indirect Procurement Make sure procurement of goods and services as required by internal customers is in line with BF Procurement policy and instructions, leveraging internal tools (Coupa, Concur, SAP, etc.Adheres to standardized B-F Sourcing Policies and Procedures. Supply Chain Performance Identify and monitor supply chain performance through Key Performance Indicators in Planning, Customer Service, and Procurement.Guide, influence, and enforce conception, implementation, and execution of supply chain projects through proactive leadership and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
